Bouncer Dies by Alleged Suicide in Kandivli East
A 45-year-old bouncer allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself with a licensed revolver at his residence in Poinsur, Kandivli East, around 4 pm on Monday. Following an alert, Samta Nagar police rushed to the scene and took the man to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivli West, where doctors declared him dead before admission.

The police stated that the deceased lived in Poinsur Bihari Tekri. The revolver used was reportedly issued in Uttar Pradesh. He had worked as a security guard and bouncer for several companies and had been at his current job for the past few years.
According to preliminary information, the man returned home after completing his first shift, washed his face and hands, and then allegedly shot himself soon after. His wife was at home during the incident.
Samta Nagar police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and started further investigation. A team from Crime Branch unit 12 was also present at the scene.
When asked how the deceased had a licensed firearm during the election period, when such weapons are usually deposited with authorities, the police said he was working as a security guard but did not provide further clarification.
