IUML leader and former minister V K Ebrahim Kunju was buried with State honours in Aluva, Kerala, after passing away at 73
Funeral of V.K. Ebrahim Kunju Held with State Honours
The remains of senior Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) leader and former Minister V.K. Ebrahim Kunju were buried at the Alangad Juma Masjid graveyard near Aluva on Wednesday. This was done with full State honours.
A large crowd from various backgrounds attended the funeral.
Mr. Kunju, who was 73, passed away at a private hospital on Tuesday after a battle with cancer. He served four terms as a Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

The body was kept at his residence in Aluva for public homage until 9 a.m. Many people paid their last respects at his home and later at the Alangad Juma Masjid.
Among those who paid their respects were IUML State president Panakkad Syed Sadikali Shihab Thangal, party national general secretary P.K. Kunhalikutty, and Minister for Industries P. Rajeeve. Others included Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Sunny Joseph, and MPs Hibi Eden, P.V. Abdul Wahab, Jebi Mather, Haris Beeran, and Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader E. P. Jayarajan.
Many UDF workers from nearby districts also came to pay homage to the late leader, who was instrumental in expanding the IUML’s presence in central Kerala.
