Man Falls from Terrace in Delhi, Dies
A 25-year-old man allegedly fell from the terrace of a third-floor house in northwest Delhi’s Adarsh Nagar on Sunday evening, police reported on Monday. The man was attending a party at his friend’s residence, and his family has claimed foul play.
Investigation Details
The deceased’s visceral sample has been preserved for forensic examination to determine if he was intoxicated at the time of the fall.
According to police, Bhavishya (single name) lived on Railway Road in north Delhi’s Azadpur and worked for a private company. He had gone to his friend’s house in Lal Bagh for a party. In the evening, while leaving, he lost his balance on the stairs, slipped, and fell from the terrace, as reported by his friends.
Police Findings
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Bhisham Singh stated that no evidence of foul play has been found.
Bhavishya was with friends Lalit Rawat, 21; Vansh, 18; Nitesh Tomar, 19; and his cousin Kanishk, in his 20s, at Rawat’s house. The friends informed police that they had consumed alcohol.
Medical Response
After the incident, Vansh took Bhavishya to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police were notified at around 7:40 PM.
“After the post-mortem examination and completion of further inquiries, appropriate legal action shall be initiated as per law,” the DCP said.
