Juvenile Apprehended for Allegedly Recording Videos in Women’s Washroom
A juvenile was apprehended for allegedly recording videos inside a woman’s washroom at a cinema theatre in Bengaluru, Karnataka, according to police reports.
Police stated that the juvenile was caught while filming inside the women’s washroom. The incident was reported around 9:30 PM on Sunday due to a disturbance at the theatre, located within the Madiwala police station limits. Patrol officers responded quickly and controlled the situation, as reported by news agency PTI.
The juvenile was rescued from an agitated crowd and taken to the police station for further action. Another person was also detained for questioning related to the case. Police mentioned that the theatre management is being questioned as part of the investigation.
Authorities are working to trace other suspects who are believed to be absconding. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to police.
Previous Incident Involving Recorded Assault
Earlier, Bengaluru police registered a case against a man who recorded a violent assault on a woman but did not report it. The attackers were arrested earlier this month.
This earlier incident occurred on September 21 on Avenue Road. A woman was brutally assaulted in public by Umed Ram, the owner of Maya Silks, and his employee Mahendra Seervi. They allegedly kicked the woman in the chest and private parts, attempted to strip her, and hurled abuse, accusing her of stealing a bundle of saris the previous day.
