A 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death, and his mother was attacked by a group of men in Outer Delhi’s Sultanpuri area late on Thursday night, according to police. One of the three accused has been arrested.

The boy’s mother told reporters that he had gone out to run errands when she heard a commotion outside their house. “I started shouting at them to leave my boy alone when he started stabbing my son with a knife,” she said. “When I tried to intervene, he stabbed me too. I ran for cover in a nearby shop, but my son couldn’t escape,” she added.

The main accused, identified as Vikram (30), who has been previously booked in six other cases, was arrested on Friday. Police sources stated that the initial questioning revealed the boy had developed a strong dislike for Vikram after discovering his mother’s alleged illicit relationship with him. The two reportedly had a heated conversation before Vikram stabbed the boy. However, police noted that the investigation is still in its early stages, and they are exploring other possible motives.

During questioning, Vikram allegedly told police that he committed the stabbing with two associates. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the other suspects, officers said.

According to police, they received information at the Sultan Puri police station around 11:30 pm on Thursday that a group of boys had stabbed a minor. When police arrived, they found the teenager lying on the ground with multiple injuries.

The injured boy was taken to SGM Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
