Tirumala temple in Tirupati introduces online booking for 800 daily SriVani darshan tickets from January 9, replacing offline counters to reduce queues and enhance transparency
SriVani Darshan Ticket Changes at Tirumala Temple
SriVani darshan tickets for the Tirumala temple will be released daily at 9 am and will remain available until 2 pm. Tickets will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has announced a major change to the SriVani Darshan ticketing system. This change aims to improve convenience for pilgrims and streamline administration.
Starting January 9, the SriVani darshan tickets will be available through a daily online current booking system. This will be a pilot program for one month.
Previously, these tickets were issued only at offline counters in Tirumala. Now, the 800 SriVani darshan tickets issued daily will be moved to the online platform.
Devotees who secure tickets must report for darshan on the same day at 4 pm. To ensure transparency and prevent misuse, Aadhaar authentication and mobile number verification will be mandatory during booking.
Ticket allocation will be limited to one family, which can include up to four members (1+3). Officials stated that the online booking will help eliminate long queues and waiting times at offline counters in Tirumala.
This new system will be tested for a month, after which its effectiveness will be reviewed. The existing online advance booking for 500 SriVani darshan tickets per day will remain unchanged.
A comprehensive review of the advance booking system will occur after three months. However, the offline current booking of 200 SriVani darshan tickets per day at Tirupati airport will continue.
