Changes to Train Services Due to Engineering Works
Engineering works for railway track maintenance are taking place at Chavadipalayam and Unjalur railway stations in the Erode – Karur sector. As a result, there are changes to train services on January 6, 13, and 17.

A release from the Salem Railway Division stated that train no. 56809 from Tiruchi to Erode will only run from Tiruchi Junction to Karur Junction. It will not continue to Erode Junction on those days.
Train no. 16846 from Sengottai to Erode will also be short terminated at Karur. It will run from Sengottai to Karur Junction only and will not continue to Erode Junction. After the engineering works, an unreserved special train will operate from Karur to Erode with the same stops as train no. 16846.
Additionally, train no. 16845 from Erode to Sengottai will depart from Karur Junction at 3:05 p.m. instead of Erode Junction at 2:00 p.m. It will run from Karur Junction to Sengottai on those days.
